In 2010, Northern Berkshire Neighbors recruited and trained nine Community Outreach Workers to be knowledgeable about community resources, and to assist neighbors to connect with appropriate social services. Our Community Outreach Workers are committed to working with their designated neighborhoods to provide this information. Another cohort of workers will be recruited and trained in 2011. This training will be partially facilitated by current Outreach Workers. Over time, their mission will include functioning as community organizers.
