What is the UNITY Youth Leadership Program?
The UNITY Youth Leadership Program is an opportunity for a team of 20 high school students from across Northern
Berkshire County to make a difference in our community. The group meets weekly to discuss issues important to teenagers
and the community as a whole, as well as to practice leadership skills like goal setting and assertiveness. Youth Leaders
volunteer in the community and develop original, youth-led projects to improve the quality of life in our area.

What do we expect of you?
• Attend weekly meetings on Tuesday evenings, 6:00- 8:00pm, at the Northern Berkshire Community Coalition.
• Care about youth and community issues.
• Promote a positive image of youth through your words and actions.
• Actively participate in projects that the team plans.

What you can expect:
• Interesting and challenging activities.
• To learn about yourself and your community.
• Snacks and transportation provided (free!).
• To make friends from other skills and have fun!

Program runs Tuesdays, 10/11/11 through 5/29/12, with breaks during public school vacations. All activities are free!
Transportation is available.
